Critérium Beauharnois

À un boyau de la victoire!

Pour la 2e course du calendrier, les coureurs de l’équipe Norco/Premier Tech propulsée par ChewPOD prenaient part au critérium de Beauharnois. 31 tours de 1,6km attendaient les quelques 75 coureurs présents.

Dès le premier virage, Jean-Simon D’Anjou s’est détaché du peloton avant d’être rejoint, 3 tours plus tard, par 3 autres compétiteurs. Les 4 fuyards ont passé la course en avant et c’est finalement à 3 qu’ils finissent la course.

Durant toute la course, le reste de l’équipe a du assumer la difficile tâche de contrôler la course. Simon Ouellet et David Drouin ont, quant à eux, intégré un petit groupe menaçant lors de la course.

Preuve du bon travail effectué, le peloton est arrivé groupé, à l’exception des 3 échappés et d’un 4e coureur, lâché de l’échappée. Au final, Jean-Simon finit 2e du sprint, à quelques centimètres de différence, après avoir attaqué dans le dernier virage. Sommairement, course positive pour l’ensemble de l’équipe.

A few centimeters short from victory

For the second race of the calendar, the riders of the team Norco/Premier Tech p/b ChewPOD took part in the criterium of Beauharnois. 31 laps of 1.6km were on the menu for some 75 riders present at the start.

Just after the start, Jean-Simon D’Anjou broke away from the peloton, before being joined, three laps later, by three other competitors. The four fugitives stayed at the front the whole race, to finally drop one, just before fighting for the win.

Throughout the race, the rest of the team take on the difficult task of controlling the race. Simon Ouellet and David Drouin, meanwhile, joined a small group during the race.

Proof of good work, the pack came bundled with the exception of the three fugitives and a fourth rider dropped from the breakaway. In the end, Jean-Simon finished 2nd in the sprint, a few centimeters short of the win, after attacking in the last corner. Briefly, positive race for the whole team.
